Alphasizer

Privacy

Preliminary policy for the private beta. Last updated July 2026.

What we collect

When you request beta access we collect the work email, company name, and role you submit. When you hold an account we store your watchlist, the reports you generate, and the basic usage needed to operate the service.

How we use it

We use your information to review beta requests, provide the product, and contact you about your account. We do not sell your information, and we do not analyze your activity for advertising.

Data sources

Reports are built from public SEC EDGAR filings and market data from Financial Modeling Prep. Source filings are public record; Alphasizer summarizes and cites them.

Executive data on M&A targets

For companies you research as an acquisition target, Alphasizer stores a small set of professional information about that company's senior leadership, obtained from a third-party business-data provider (Coresignal): full name, job title, employer, and — where available — the month they joined or left. We also store the provider's own persistent identifier for that person's profile, coresignal_parent_id, so records can be matched reliably across refreshes.

The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interest — B2B processing of professional information for M&A diligence, using information the individuals have made professionally public.

This data is retained for 30 days from the date it is obtained. One clock governs all provider-derived data: both the underlying executive records and any dossier built from them are deleted at 30 days by a scheduled database sweep. Viewing a dossier does not restart that clock.

We deliberately do not collect or store executives' professional email addresses or phone numbers, even though the provider makes them available. Alphasizer is an intelligence product, not an outreach database.

That choice lowers the risk of misuse only. It does not reduce Alphasizer's obligations under GDPR or CCPA, and it does not mean this data is unregulated. A person's name, title, and employer is personal data regardless of whether contact details accompany it, and Alphasizer treats it as regulated personal data.

This data is used only inside the product — it is never included in an M&A report, never exported to PDF or DOCX, and never present on a shared report link.

An individual (or someone acting for them) can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their information by writing to privacy@alphasizer.com. Deletion removes the person's records from Alphasizer's systems and from any dossier built from them. We aim to respond within 30 days.

One thing we deliberately keep after a deletion: a suppression record containing the person's name and their identifier from our data provider. We retain it indefinitely, and we retain it precisely so the deletion sticks — without it, the next time we refreshed data on that company we would re-import the same person from the provider and undo their request. We do not use this record for any other purpose, and it holds no other information about them. Anyone who would rather we did not keep even this can say so at the address above.

Your reports and links

Reports are scoped to your account. Shared report links are tokenized and can be revoked at any time.
